Mom and baby are both doing great. They will be coming home from the hospital tomorrow morning. They are just monitoring Hudson's slight case of jaundice and making sure that he is eating properly. Stefanie is doing amazingly well feeding, so so patient and determined. The little guy is definitely getting the hang of it, and they probably could have come home tonight, but we just wanted to be sure he was getting enough food and not biting (as this little stinker tended to do at the start). Grandma Doerkson had to fly back to B.C. today, but Auntie Devan will be here to visit on Tuesday! Hudson is anxiously awaiting her arrival.

Be still my beating heart. SERIOUSLY! I love seeing you two with that little dude. WOW. Can't wait to see you all again, the girls are very excited to meet their little cousin.
ReplyDeleteWhen we went to pick the girls up after being at the hospital I showed Madda a pic of Hudson on my camera. She scrunched up her nose and said "Tute!" Haha, it was hilarious. She knows her stuff, he IS cute. SO SO SO cute. xoxo
wow - he is so adorable - and Tyler - I can't believe you are a dad....wow time flies! Stef you are beautiful, and it was neat spending time at the hospital and seeing you with your little boy - I agree with Ty, you are so patient!
ReplyDeleteawwwww I miss you all already! come home! He looks so different again today, he just keeps getting cuter!!! I don't know if I can wait til Sunday to see you all again.
ReplyDeleteWow, Hudson looks so strong holding his head up like that! Hey, I noticed in one of your pics the D-VI-SOL on the overbed table, we gave Chase the same stuff for a year before we discovered D-drops! Soooo much better! D-VI-SOL you have to give an entire ml of the nasty stuff and with D-drops you only need ONE DROP! I highly recommend them! They're harder to find but I got mine in the Mission Superstore... anyway, I know how much new parents like unsolicited advice ;)
ReplyDeleteTake care you guys!
Love ABCD
awww.... you guys are so adorable. I wish that I could be there, so much. I almost jumped on a plane on tuesday to come see you, seriously! But I didn't have enough money. Boo! Anyways, hope your having a great first week being parents!
ReplyDeleteoh, that comment above is from julie, couldn't figure out the account stuff, lol!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again! I LOVE that picture of his expression just after those first four with you, Ty! What a cute little face!! Plus you and Stefanie both look great - naturals :) Can't wait to meet him!
ReplyDeleteI am typing for Hailey and she says:
ReplyDeleteMadelyn says "Hudson" perfectly and I really like the pictures. I asked Mommy if we could come to visit you today. Hudson's really cute. That's all.
Aunties: He is excited to see more of you too. Amber I can't wait for the Eidse brood of cute cousins to meet him and Raquel are you not so happy that you can call this little guy your apartment neighbor for a couple of months?
ReplyDeleteBonnie: Hudson actually likes the Vitamin D drops (so far). The nurse said babies either despise it or love it.
Brandi: my favourite is the one of him in the bassinet. I have another one just like that where he was making a goofy face with his tongue out but I decided to avoid the million comments from the ever clever anti-Leaf enthusiasts about how he already is disgusted with Toronto or something to that effect.
Hailey: Thanks for the message, come to see him any time! we can all go and play on the playground together.
Ahhhhh hahahaha, post the goofy TML face one! He's gonna have to get used to the ridicule eventually, may as well start him young ;) Come on! Post it, post it, post it.
ReplyDeleteI do have to say though, he does look like a proud leaf fan in that pic. Cute expression!
Love to all 3 of you...praying for you! xoxo
