The cheekiest of them all

[stef]
I guess no Mother of the Year award for me.
Just minutes ago, I was checking on my boiling egg, peanut buttering my celery, and filling up my new awesome purple water bottle, when I hear the sounds of a giggling Hudson approaching behind me. This isn't an odd occurrence, and I had just moments before looked at a happy, content baby - however, that happy, content baby was in his carseat. Not crawling on the floor behind me. Yep, somehow the little monkey CRAWLED out of his carseat, managed to NOT land on his face (which would have resulted in much shrieking), and then made his way partway across the kitchen floor, still completely bundled in his very cumbersome snowgear.
I had left him on the floor in his carseat after our walk, unstrapped only one of his arms, so he could play with a few dangly toys on his carseat bar for a few minutes while I got my lunch together, and that's all the time it took. Wow, these little ones figure it out quick! Too quick for this mommy!
Seven month update to come. Just wanted to share a video of Hudson's first spin in his walker, borrowed from his big cousins (and actually, I was looking back on the Eidse's blog from when Hailey - Hudson's biggest cousin, who is now six - was just six months old, and she was toddling around in the same thing! Neat!), and some pictures of the cheekiness that is my son.
