Says Devan last Sunday on our most recent Skype date, "You guys have Victoria Day too? I thought that was only a BC thing! You know, because of Victoria. Honestly, I keep getting Victoria Day and BC Day mixed up."
I'll be honest here too by saying I don't know a whole lot about Victoria Day - but it means a long weekend! One that usually results in the masses going for the first camping venture of the year (besides those nutty tree planters), which as far as I can remember, never has sunshine to accompany it. This year was no different, weather wise. We are not part of that large camping population, and never have been, mostly because I always have worked this weekend - but I can't really seeing being those May long campers in the future either.
I also discovered during the Skyping that both my sister (and hubby) and brother (and wifey) are on holiday in far off places right now. Nadia and Kyle are in Hawaii (and may I mention that Devan and Brandon
and my mom and Mark both vacationed there this year too), and Chad and Laura are in France! And here I am gettin' all braggy about North Dakota (which I actually do enjoy, so I'll zip it). Anyways, it may not be snorkeling in the Pacific, riding a donkey down to a long-forgotten leper colony (yes, this actually interests me), hiking up and down volcanoes, ordering from a menu en francais in my best (and snootiest) Parisian accent, snuggling atop the Eiffel Tower, or sunning myself on the beaches of Marseilles, but any extra day that Ty has off to be home with me and the boy is vacation enough for me!

| Waiting for morning cereal - doing his "puppy" thing again, this time with his favorite new toy, an old rinsed out Tylenol bottle. |
 |
| Fascinated with bubbles (we went on a spree at the dollar store on Sunday - hence the very manly police cop pictured here). |
 |
| Also fascinated with bubbles. |
 |
| Love this picture! |
 |
| Hudson's first go at rice milk/pumped milk - thankfully he loved it! I had to encourage him with his bottle, because he's still a little skeptical of it, but I have Tommee Tippee sippies flying in as we speak, so I'm hoping they will be a good transition for him. |

| Annihilated! |

| Ty fulfilled my request to move the computer upstairs to the spare room. Note the Canucks mug and the corresponding cheering player during a win the other night. This is the before. |
 |
| And this is the after! |

| My matching boys on the way to the Friesen's to celebrate Jayda's fourth birthday. |
Old rinsed out Tylenol bottles ROCK! Dani's got one that she's currently gnawing on. They're great for teething toys when those awful 1 year molars start to come in!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on this post:
